These cute cardamom bear sugar cookies taste lush, buttery and melt-in-your mouth. Colorful M&Ms add extra crunch. They are very easy and fun to make.
How adorable are these cookies! They turned out better than I expected. The cookie dough is very manageable and allows you to make any cookie shapes you wish.
In a medium bowl mix flour and cardamom. In a separate bowl add powdered sugar, butter, salt and egg and mix together until light and fluffy. then add flour. Mix all the ingredients until you get a unified dough.
Flatten the dough, wrap it n a cling film and chill in a fridge for at least 1 hour. When you are ready to bake. Preheat oven to 170C (338F). Roll cookie dough and cut cookies. Place m7ms on top. bake for about 10-12 minutes.
TIPS:
These cute little cookies taste fantastic. The are loaded with cardamom and butter flavour. They are very aromatic and have a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. I have added chocolate M7Ms on top but you can replace them with nuts or other sweets if you wish.
Store cookies at room temperature in a cookie box or in a cookie tin for up to a week. You can also freeze them for up to 6 months. I would recommend freezing them in an air-tight container rather than a zip lock bag. It will prevent cookies from breaking.

Buttery and melt-in-your-mouth cardamom cookies.
Prepare 2 large baking sheets, lined with baking paper. Set aside.
Add butter, egg, sugar and salt into a bowl and combine all ingredients until soft and fluffy.
Then add flour and cardamom and mix until you get a unified cookie dough.
Your dough will be soft and it will not be possible to cut out any cookies, it is ok, do not panic.
Place your dough on a working area, make a ball and flatten the dough 2 cm thick. Wrap it in a cling film and cool in the fridge for about 1 hour.
After 1 hour, when you are ready to bake make sure you have everything ready and you will need to act fast.
Sprinkle your working surface with a little bit of flour and lave the dough for 5 min to warm up so it is easy to work with.
Preheat the oven to 170C° fan (338).
Roll the dough around 0.7cm or 1cm thick.
Cut out cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Arrange M&Ms on top of each cookie.
Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes depending on your oven.
When cookies are ready, remove them from oven. Leave the cookies to cool and then transfer them on a cooling rack to cool down completely.
