Did you know that you can combine whipping cream with milk chocolate and make easy milk chocolate truffles? Yes, only 2 ingredients plus extras like sprinkles, or nuts if you want to add more flavours and texture. These easy truffles will be a great addition to your dessert table during Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s day, you name it. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

How to make easy milk chocolate truffles
Making milk chocolate truffles is very easy. You basically need to heat up cream and pour it over finely chopped milk chocolate. Let it sit for few minutes and then stir until smooth. Then let the mixture cool down completely and place it in a fridge for few hours. The only thing left is to shape the truffles and roll them in sprinkles, nuts or whatever you wish.
TIPS:
- Make sure you use correct cream. Minimum of 32% fat. Whipping cream, heavy cream or double cream if you are located in the UK.
- It is very important to chop chocolate very finely. If you leave big chunks of chocolate, you will end up with lumps and will have trouble to get the smooth consistency.
- Use a kitchen scale to weigh the mixture, it will help to achieve consistent size of your truffles.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Can I use white chocolate instead of milk chocolate?
No, you can not. The cream to chocolate ratio differs. And if you want to make white chocolate truffles you need to use less cream. The ratio is 1:3 ( cream: white chocolate). White chocolate is also more fussy and has a tendency to split. I will make a separate post on how to make white chocolate truffles to stay tuned.

What do these truffles taste like?
If you adore chocolate, you will adore these truffles. The texture is silky and smooth and truffles melt in your mouth. The taste is incredible. You can flavour these truffles by rolling them in chopped walnut, hazelnuts, desiccated coconut, freeze-dried fruit powder or sprinkles. Personally, my favorite one I ever made was the pink truffle which you can see in the photos. I used freeze-dry dragon fruit and it was the best combo ever.

How to store easy milk chocolate truffles
You can store truffles in a fridge in an air-tight container for up to a week. Truffles also freeze well. Just place them in a freezer bag and make sure that bag is closed properly. In order to defrost truffles, take them out from the freezer bag and place them at room temperature for at least one hour.
