How to make powdered milk and cocoa frosting

This frosting, is super easy to make and honestly one of the best I ever tasted. Powdered milk, cocoa, butter, milk and sugar. I would never believe that only 5 basic ingredients can be turned into frosting from heaven! You may think that I am a psychopath getting overly excited about it, maybe I am. BUT make it and you will become obsessed as well and you will be making double batch just to eat this frosting with a spoon.

In order to make it you need to mix milk, cocoa, butter and sugar in a medium pot. Bring the mixture to a boiling point and cook for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Then you need to wait for the mixture to cool down completely. Then you need to add powdered milk. Do it slowly. I add my powdered milk through a sieve so my frosting is not lumpy. At the end you will end up with a thick beautiful frosting.

How to use this AMAZING frosting

This frosting can be used to decorate cupcakes, fill in cookies or decorate cakes, the possibilities here are endless really. I have used this recipe in my powdered milk and Maltesers macarons, and will share recipe on my blog soon!

This powdered milk and cocoa frosting can be made in advance and store in the fridge up to a week. Just make sure you bring it to a room temperature before using as it will become quite stiff.

You can also freeze it up to 6 months and defrost it as necessary, BUT I am sure it will not happen as this frosting will be hoovered to the last spoon!
