How to make apple and coconut cake
The below recipe is really easy to make and the results are fantastic. The only painful task will be peeling and grating apples but it will be worth it.
So to make this cake, you need to peel and grate 2 apples ( leave the third one to add on top) and mix it lemon and set aside for later. Then slice the third apple, mix with lemon and set aside. Now you need to mix wet ingredients and fry ingredients until just combined. Then mix in grated apples and coconut. Pour the cake butter to the cake tin. Decorate with sliced apples and coconut and bake for about 40 minutes. Easy.
TIPS:
- Sieve flour and baking powder, it will help to distribute ingredients evenly.
- Do not use Bramley apples as they will make cake quite wet. Save them for making apple pie.
- Do not overmix the butter. It will help cake to bake fluffy and tall.
- Let the cake to cool down completely before slicing it.
